A part II of sorts....this seven track EP follows up the early June 2020 release of home recordings titled "Sings The Lonesome Bob Dylan". Recorded in a similar fashion with limited resources in the Winter of 2020-21 during The COVID-19 global pandemic & lockdown, "Sings The Man in Black JOHHNNY CASH" includes 6 personal recordings with Tex playing every instrument along with one studio outtake from the 2019's "Kinfolk" album featuring Johnnys (among other) legendary piano player Earl Poole Ball.

While still not able to play in clubs, tour, or work in a proper studio, Tex decided to record some of his favorite longtime Johnny Cash songs. Using a simple recording & tracking device at home these raw and stripped down recordings offer a unique glimpse into the influence Cash has had on Tex's sound & style. Also appearing on one track is Tex's wife Maybelle Crawford singing a duet to one of Johnny & Junes lesser known songs. The selection of songs represents just a small sampling from Cash's vast catalogue and styles. Theres a train song, a spiritual, a spoken word, and of course the errant love songs. This EP is a down to earth and humble tribute to one and only Man in Black.
